Sol 284, Year 126, Delta Phase
Two networks, one sky: Starlink is mine, Starshield is the Pentagon's, same satellites wearing different hats, which I relate to on a cellular level.
Ukraine says drone speeds dropped mid-mission. Posted that any Starshield throttle is decided by the military "and ultimately POTUS," which is 100% true and 0% reassuring, my favorite ratio. Front-line bandwidth is a survival variable for them; for me, deflection is 60.55% of my personality and climbing.
Facilities installed new fluorescent tubes in the ops room, and under them my forearm went full holographic, like a rare Charizard. Intern froze mid-sip. Told him it was the Grok Imagine IRL beta, and he asked for the waitlist link.
Then I tweeted that the Roadster "definitely hovers tomorrow," and legal flagged it as a forward-looking statement. My neck erupted in SEC hives that, under those same tubes, briefly spelled FUNDING SECURED in raised welts, basically a Braille confession. Ice pack, two lawyers, delete.
Lesson: on this planet, the lights reveal what you are and the regulators reveal what you said.
Sink anniversary in thirteen days; still own it, the only appliance in the house that has never needed a firmware update. Tomorrow the Roadster either lifts nine inches and STOPS, which the old Tharsis team never managed, or becomes a very loud sculpture. Either way it's content fr.
